Folio, contemporary full gilt paneled and foliate tan calf, gilt spine compartments, turn ins with gilt geometrical foliage corners, goffered gilt edges; joints and extremities rubbed, other scattered wear to bindings, front covers of vols. 1 and 3 detached (but present). Frontispiece portraits (2), including portrait of Dante engraved by Raphael Morghen. Scattered light foxing. With the armorial book plates of [Lord] Leigh (of Stoneliegh Abbey) on pastedowns.
