Tall folio, contemporary or slightly later richly gilt paneled and ornamented full russet calf, gilt spine compartments, inner dentelles gilt, red and black morocco spine labels, marbled edges and endpapers; ocassionally scuffed, corners rubbed, other edge wear, spines expertly repaired - new bands. Light to moderate foxing and minor creasing to title pages and front matter, other scattered light foxing. But a tall, attractive set. Complete with all prefatory material - including the Advertisement and Directions to the binder. Leaf size, 16 1/2 x 9 9/16 inches; 419 x 243 mm.
