The canvas is not lined and is slightly slack in the stretcher. There are vertical and horizontal stretcher marks apparent. Very fine craquelure throughout. The varnish is somewhat yellowed. Under UV light: the canvas was selectively cleaned on the flowers. The dark background is still covered by a green and opaque varnish. There are only a few small spots of recent inpainting visible along the lower left edge. Older inpainting no longer fluoresces and cannot be detected.
