If an item does not sell it is your responsibility to have it picked up within seven business days after the date of sale. If an item is not picked up or arrangements have not been made, the seller will be charged $10 per lot per day until the item is removed from our facility.

Your main Freeman's contact will contact you the day after the auction to provide you with your sale results. Prices realized are also posted on our website. Settlement checks and statements are mailed out thirty days after the auction.

While Freeman's does not provide packing and shipping services, we do have a list of recommended third party shippers to assist you with delivering the property to our Chicago office. In some instances, Freeman's can manage and execute the delivery of large consignments or estates. The cost for these services will be deducted from the proceeds of sale as outlined in the consignment agreement.

We receive a high volume of requests and invest significant time in appraising the object(s). For this reason it may take 2-4 weeks to contact you with an estimate.

1. You can fill out an auction estimate request by completing a simple online form. In order for us to serve you fastest, we ask that you fill out all required fields designated by a * sign. This will ensure an accurate and timely estimate. You will receive a confirmation when your completed form is submitted.
2. You can email [email protected] with pertinent details about the item you wish to consign. When doing so, please include:

• Your full name, phone number, and email address
• Object description
• Artist, maker, or designer
• Object medium (what the object is made of)
• Dimensions (for paintings, excluding frames)
• At least 3 images, showing the object from different angles (front, back, signature, markings, etc.)
