There is a pendulum present but no winding key. The hands can be manually advanced, and hammers move to strike near the hour and half hour, but are in need of calibration. The dial is marked Wien but the manufacturer's name has been rubbed away. There are cracks and repairs to the enamel face. The two putti have been broken and repaired and broken again; old glue residue is present and one of the figures' arms are both presently broken off. The bottoms of the putti have dowels to affix them in place but these are frayed or broken to a point where they do not presently fit. These figures and the eagle were originally giltwood but have been redecorated with a glittery, gold-tone paint.
