Painting is not relined. Vertical and horizontal stretcher bar marks across the center. There is pigment separation in the dark colors at center. Faint craquelure in the background around the figures and on the figures heads. Horizontal scratch to surface near the lower edge. And two whites areas in the varnish at center of lower edge. In lower left edge, a small area of inpainting is visible, directly above a pinpoint paint loss. The surface is covered by an old and dark varnish. Under UV light: possible inpainting in a square area near the center of right edge with corresponding patch on the reverse. Inpainting on the woman's purse at center right. Craquelure filling scattered on her dress and hair. There is selective cleaning of old varnish on the woman's face and water. A vertical line of inpainting extends along the left edge. Additional small areas of inpainting scattered along the lower edge.
