Canvas is lined; minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; an area of horizontal craquelures through the center left, partially extending into the woman's face; one small paint loss in the upper left corner; a pinpoint liquid stain in lower right corner; one faint scuff mark in center left; lower right canvas corner is slightly raised, likely from debris trapped between the canvas and stretcher. Under UV light, it appears that the proper right hand has been repainted, as well as most of the fingertips on the proper left hand; an area of repair is visible in the lower center edge, below her arm.
