Born in France, Henry Dousa (1820-1892?) immigrated to the United States in the late 1860s and took up residence in Lafayette and New Castle, Indiana. The 1885 Lafayette City Directory listed Dousa's occupation as "Portrait and Scenic Artist." Little is known of how Dousa became a painter, but over the course of his career, he painted the livestock and farms of his surroundings in a distinctive naive style.

Ms. Vogelpohl joined the firm in 2013 as a cataloger in the American and European Furniture and Decorative Arts department.
