Henry F. Warren is probably best known for capturing the last living photograph of President Lincoln. According to Hamilton and Ostendorf's Lincoln in Photographs, Warren used Lincoln's son, Tad, to coax the President out of the White House just two days after his second inauguration, on 6 March 1865. Warren made three negatives of Lincoln that day on the south balcony of the White House.
