The oblong tureen with boar's head handles with domed cover with floral knop on conforming stand, Famille Rose pallette.
L(s): 10 1/2 in. and 13 in.Provenance: Estate of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Wister, Oldwick, New Jersey.
Descended in the Wister family to the present owners and was probably used at the Wister family ancestral home, Grumblethorpe, in Germantown, Philadelphia, now a National Historic Landmark.
