The shaped and pierced cresting above hinged lid on box with drawer having turned ivory pull; together with two silhouettes, the first a figure of a standing lady indentified on verso, "Katherine Stewart, daughter of John Stewart of Stenton and...wife of Thomas MacRitchie Mrs. MacRitchie of Lieth Perth 20th Sept 1831," and the second, a standing gentleman, identified on verso, "...Bayley Esq...of the...Community for the National School Edinburgh 30 July, 1830."
