American School 19th century Three portraits: Miles H. Greenfield, Martha Ann Bell Greenfield and

Listed in censuses as a farmer, Miles H. Greenfield (1808-1867) married Martha Ann Bell (1816-1872), daughter of traveling minister and planter Reverend Caleb Norris Bell, Jr. and Judith Moore, in 1832. The couple had two daughters. The first daughter, Piety, was born in 1838. Piety married David E. Sydnor and died at 24 years of age. The second daughter, Judith, was born in 1845. The entire family is buried at Bell's Chapel Church Cemetery, Elkton, Kentucky.
