Note
The present lot was a sample in iron for a fire screen of related design for the residence of George Matheson Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of Yellin's most significant commissions. The resulting fire screen is currently held in the permanent collection of the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA, accession number 2011.73.
