In overall very good condition. The sheet is taped down to the verso of the mat via 4 pieces of old white (now yellowed) paper tape (2 up top and 2 at the bottom), and set against a thicker piece of board to protect it (not laid down). With ‘Ostende’ stamps on the back. The sheet is slightly toned, with remnants of old paper tape along the top outer edge, and on the sides verso. Small loss at bottom left corner (covered by the mat). With minor smudges in the upper left and upper right corner recto, likely from handling. Otherwise presents well, with a finely conserved red crayon. No sign of inpainting as seen under UV light, or repair. See Specialist's pictures for more details.
