Note:
Miss de Mazia (French-American, 1896-1988) began working with Dr. Alfred C. Barnes and the Barnes Foundation in 1926. She co-authored several books with Barnes and was extremely influential in the development of the Foundation's educational philosophy. She served as a Trustee from 1935 to 1966 and became Director of Education in 1951 upon the death of Barnes. De Mazia taught at the Barnes Foundation until 1987.
