Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; paint brush hairs embedded in the varnish along the upper right edge and lower left edge; two pinpoint brown stains each in the upper right corner and in the lower left corner; a thin, diagonal line of inpainting visible under normal viewing condition within the lower center, approximately 8 1/2 inches in length. Under UV light: the aforementioned line of inpainting fluoresces, as well a spot above this line; small spots of inpainting scattered along the upper edge; two small spots of inpainting in the center left; an area of inpainting along the lower center edge; possible inpainting within the clouds in the center, although this fluorescence may be a result of the pigments used.
