The sheet is affixed at all four corners to the underside of the mat (could be removed). The mat and backing board are very old, and would need to be replaced. The sheet however, presents beautifully, with all edges and corners preserved and strong coloring throughout. As the sheet is affixed to all four corners, we notice slight ripples at bottom left and bottom right quadrants, alongside the lateral edges. With associated horizontal lateral folds at bottom left and bottom right corners (no associated paper tears). No evidence of restoration whatsoever. A nicely preserved texture throughout.
