The relined canvas in overall good condition. With slight abrasions along the top outer edge of the canvas, likely due to past frame rubbing. Examination under UV light reveals remnants of greenish varnish in localized areas, indicating a selective cleaning. Apart from very minor inpainting visible at upper right corner, at bottom right quadrant and in bottom left corner (all old minuscule flakes), we do not see any sign of inpainting. However, we notice several colorful areas fluoresce under UV light (namely bright blues, pinks and lighter browns: all due to the pigments used by the artist rather than a sign of restoration in our opinion, as those fluorescing marks follow the brushwork and color code.
