Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; passages of the canvas have been pressed due to the lining process; scattered craquelure throughout the sky and lower right corner; two circular areas in the upper left corner, as well as one circular area of inpainting in the upper center, visible under raking light; an additional 1 1/2 x 1/2 inch area of inpainting in the upper right corner, visible under raking light; a thin line of inpainting each along the right and left edges visible under normal viewing conditions; lower canvas right edge exhibits slight distortion. Under UV light: the aforementioned areas in the sky and along the right and left edges fluoresce; three areas of inpainting in the lower center, within the water; additional strokes of inpainting within the mountains in the center, as well as instances of small spots of inpainting scattered throughout.
