In overall good condition. The sheet is affixed to the undermat at all four concerns via transparent mounting strips. As the sheet appeared slightly curled up, it was decided to leave the two bottom corners free, so the sheet could remain flat. The sheet is lightly toned, with slight brown discoloration along the bottom extreme edge, and localized brown staining and smears in the bottom and lateral margins. While generally flat, the sheet is slightly rippled throughout - a combination of the medium, the sheet and the condition. Straight edges on the sides, with deckled edges up top and at bottom. Three pinpoint holes at upper left and two at upper right (both in upper margin), indicating the sheet was likely originally pinned on the artist's board. With paper losses in the upper right quadrant, along the top outer edge of the sheet (not apparent when the work is matted, and framed). Small vertical tear at bottom center right, in the bottom margin (1 in.). With three parallel horizontal folds/creases at center right, extending from the margin to the side of the composition. Watermarks visible at bottom left and bottom center. The verso is slightly stained, but presents overall fine. Additional images available upon request.
