Estimate$6,000 – $10,000
Provenance:
Private Collection, Pennsylvania.
In generally good overall condition apart from some localized minor retouching in two areas along bottom edge of canvas at left, below part of signature, and to the right of signature at bottom. Signature itself is not restored and retouching does not extend into signature. No other evidence of restoration in other areas of the canvas. A slight impression from the top stretcher bar is noticeable but generally unobtrusive in natural light. The verso of the canvas is brown in color and has apparently been treated with Damar, as is noted in black marking pen on verso, i.e. ‘DAMAR / AUG 1984’ at top left. Additional images available upon request.
Framed: 24 x 28 x 3 in.
