"Antelope Hunting" [Boston: Bradlee Whidden,] 1889.Chromolithograph, image 306 x 458 mm (435 x 590 mm sheet), printed for Gould's Sport, or Fishing and Shooting. (A few pale marginal stains.) REMINGTON'S FIRST PUBLISHED PRINT IN COLOR, one of two he contributed to Gould's work (the other entitled "Goose Shooting"). Prior to publishing these two plates, Remington produced a series of four monochrome photogravures for John Muir's Picturesque California [1888] and two other individually published black and white prints.
