Engraved frontispiece, engraved title, 98 hand-colored engraved maps. (A few maps mounted on stubs, some light spotting or browning.) Contemporary brown half calf, marbled boards (rebacked, some light wear). FIRST EDITION, with 60 maps relating to the Americas, published by Lucas, who was considered the first successful commercial map-publisher in Baltimore. The map of Maryland includes an inset plan of Baltimore. Phillips Atlases 742.
