generally with some wear commensurate with age and honest use; the lid with overall loss to paint- presently with lightened surface exhibiting some scuffs, scrapes, and darkened areas- both sides with minor age cracks at old nail joints from underside cleats, the front right-facing corner of lid with patched repair, with cotter pins, the back right-facing pin with broken / lost clamps- lid somewhat loose from case, evidence of some form of closure to front of lid and interior of case- with holes evident; the painted decoration to front somewhat faint, with loss over time, the side panels with some age cracks at joint to front and back panels, the right-facing side panel with area of loss to front facing joint- the detached piece still present; some scuffing to feet; interior fairly clean overall, with shim to bottom board, and with later chain for lid opening
