refinished, but with nice consistent waxed or polished surface; some drawers re-built and/or replaced- including the apron drawer and the right-facing middle drawer in particular (this drawer has replaced drawer face too, no evidence of having a lock), but all the drawers with some alterations or modifications, including some replaced drawer runners to undersides; locks removed from all drawers, and some drawer faces with some minor patches or repairs along edges, the long drawer with an old loss along upper edge; the top with several rectangular patches to front and back edges, and with some occasional age cracks and darkened stains or water rings commensurate with age and use; left side panel with some old recessed stippling to wood grain, and right side panel with large age crack; kneehole door with patch near keyhole, and with patches to interior around the lock plate- the plate appears to be later, and is missing locking mechanism, the door now with a modern day push closure, the interior of shelf with later wood bracket with receiving slot for closure; apron drawer missing segment to right-facing side corner; with some patches to top and base molding; the feet have later screw reinforcements visible to support blocks; backboard with later wood shim to fill age gap; triangular patch to backboard
