Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is laid to board; canvas edge is torn along the upper left edge, accompanied by paint losses; additional wear and small paint losses along all extreme edges; uneven toning to the varnish along extreme edges, as well as thin lines of discoloration from contact with the frame rabbet. Under UV light: a horizontal area of inpainting within the brown paint of the wagon; a small spot of inpainting in the upper center, within the sky; additional small scattered spots of fluorescent that may be a result of dirt and discolored varnish; discoloration along the extreme edges fluoresces but does not appear to be inpainting.
