Juan Muñoz was a Spanish sculptor known for his psychologically charged installations and figurative sculptures that often explore themes of isolation, absence, and human interaction. Muñoz's mixed media works, like this untitled piece, often incorporate unexpected juxtapositions of materials and objects. In this piece, a small wooden cabinet contains a pair of sculpted legs protruding from one of its shelves, accompanied by metallic spheres/bells.
