The painting is in overall good condition. There are some minor scuff marks visible under raking light, for instance there are two small scuffs at the top right corner. There is some light surface soiling, visible in the lighter passages. On verso, there are a few losses to the panel at the corners, on the back face of the wood, not affecting the image. Under UV light, there are several spots of inpainting at the bottom left and right. There are other areas of potential restoration at the top, but a heavy varnish makes a careful reading difficult.
