Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is relined; instances of overcleaning in scattered areas throughout the background; two small paint losses along the upper center edge; scattered areas of localized craquelures, including one area along the center left edge, accompanied by a pinpoint paint loss. Under UV light: the background is extensively overpainted along the upper edge and through the left side; areas of inpainting to the branches; additional scattered strokes and dots of inpainting in the remainder of the background; none of the inpainting appears to affect the birds.
