Dalva Bros. invoice is not available; the provenance is based on the 1991 Interior Design magazine article which cites Dalva as the source.

The chairs are numbered '1-10' on interior of seat frame for identifying in condition report, all examples with old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use, most examples exhibiting some sign of restoration but the full extent of work is concealed by the gilt decoration, chairs might be 18th century but have been restored and repaired:

#1) some scattered staining to seat cushion, the seat back upholstery with a snagged thread near top. Are of restoration where stiles meet seat frame, extent of restoration covered by gilt decoration.

#2) some larger losses to gilt decoration on back of chair. Staining to seat cushion, underside reblocked with likely restored feet.

#3) Back proper right leg reattached, gilt decoration conceals the restoration on exterior but a modern bracing tenon visible on underside.

#4) Seat cushion with a small snag towards front of cushion.

#5) Restoration to the front feet on front.

#6) the proper back left leg likely reattached.

#7) Lacking one block to back leg on underside. Heavier flaking and loss to gilt decoration on back side of crest rail.

#8) The base rail of back rest replaced. The seat frame with restoration to back rail.

#9) Small droplet stains to seat cushion with a repaired break to proper back right leg.

#10) Small staining to seat cushion. Heavier loss to gilt decoration on front of seat frame.
