FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, number 712 of 1,000 copies, SIGNED BY FAULKNER. A Fable was the first of Faulkner's novels to win the Pulitzer Prize. Though it was received with mixed reviews, Faulkner considered it his masterpiece, and it can be seen as a precursor to Joseph Heller's Catch-22. Petersen A37.2a.
