solid and sturdy; refinished, but with a nice even surface throughout, with rich color to wood; drawers are clean and glide easily, with only a few occasional knicks, old small losses, or patches to corners and edges of drawer faces; the brass hardware is replaced, with some scattered pitting or scratches to some brasses; the molding along top of bottom section with some abrasions, scuffs, and a few losses along top edge, the right-facing back edge of molding with repaired break; the two right-facing foot facings with repaired breaks, the back left-facing foot facing with replaced wood segment along bottom; the support blocking to feet appears to be ok; right-facing side panel of bottom section with some minor age cracks; interior of top-most drawer of bottom section retaining old label for Ginsburg & Levy, Inc., New York.
