Lot Note:
Joel Grey was introduced to Jim Dine by his childhood friend R.B. Kitaj, forging a connection that blossomed into a lasting creative friendship. The two artists remained close, and Dine’s affection for Grey is evident in the deeply personal nature of the works he made for him. Nearly every piece by Dine in Grey’s collection bears a handwritten inscription or dedication, underscoring the intimacy of their bond.

In largely very good condition. One or two spots of gentle handling apparent, predominately in the margin - most noticeable are a light semi-circle crease near bottom left corner and another crease in left margin, near center. Bottom edge of paper is deckled. Please note this work was not removed from its frame.
