Estimate$10,000 – $20,000
Height of the busts (including the socle) measure 21 inches, without socle, the height is 16 inches. Socles are attached to the busts.
The busts are in overall stable condition. One example with a large chip to the back; the other with a small chip to the front. One example with a chip to the nose. Negligible roughness and flake chips along the edges. Each with remnants of orange tape. The stone at the back of each bust with some discoloration. The bases of the columns with chips to the edges. One with a section of fill in the white marble and a section along the top edge has been broken off and re-attached. The pedestal columns are sturdy. One with three large chips along the bottom edge, the other with one repaired break along the bottom edge. Scattered surface scratches and flake chips.
There is a rod inside each column that extends 9 inches into the bases which are only 6 1/2 inches tall; therefore there is an additional 2 1/2 inches of rod which needs to fit into the floor or another constructed element. The pedestals cannot be constructed as is and would require the fabrication of a new element or mounting into a floor. Additionally, there is one rod which affixes the bust to the pedestal, but is not necessary for construction, the other rod is missing. Additional images are available upon request.
