Christie's, London, sale of December 1, 2015, Lot 199.
Sotheby's, New York, sale of January 27, 2017, Lot 486.

Framed: 44 x 58 in.
Canvas is lined. Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust. Network of craquelures throughout, which appear stable. Areas of inpainting in scattered areas throughout, with most noticeable areas in the upper center of the sky, above the building; along the upper left edge; in the upper right corner; and along the right edge. Under a highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: extensive inpainting throughout from several restoration campaigns, including a 90-degree L-shaped area of inpainting in the center left, extending from above the turkey's head to just above the peacock's tail feathers. In the center right, there are two lines extending in such a way that indicates a previously repaired tear. Additional areas of inpainting that are of note include an area extending along the lower left edge and below the duck's body in the center right. Additional inpainting available upon request.
