In overall good to very good condition. The painting is stable and presents well, with deep blues and vivid yellows. The silk is laid down to the Masonite, at all four edges. We notice areas of craquelure where the paint is thick, specifically at upper right quadrant, bottom right corner as well as at bottom center. In some instance, such areas are accompanied with tiny surface losses (see for example at bottom center in the sunflowers, as well as at center right). Where the paint is thinly applied, no such condition issues arise. We do notice two rather long hairs of paintbrush trapped in the surface, at upper left (in the foliage) and at center right (near the edge, against the yellow background). Examination under UV light does not reveal any sign of inpainting. Evidence of old varnish visible in the center, and intermittently. Additional images available upon request.
