Secondary wood: Pine and cherrywood. Overall fine and stable condition. Appears to retain the original wrought-iron snipe hinges and punched metal escutcheons. Retains several early, hand-wrought iron rose head nails. Scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. She cracks visible in areas, but none that cause concern for the structural integrity of the object. The drawer pulls appear to be early replacements, showing a history of earlier bail and snipe pulls. Areas of loss to the painted surface, but retaining a fairly even, early patina throughout. Few traces of old insect damage. Rails attached to the undersides to hold the feet have been reattached using more machined screws. One foot slightly loose, but retained and ranging stable while upright. Possible replacements to some of the molding along the sides of the drawers. One pull is detached, but retained. Few small patches to the case.
