Condition:
The overall condition is good with 5 dark amber beads missing throughout the garment. Some of the tubes extending upwards have started to gain a permanent curvature due to wear and gravity. There has been some conservation work on the upward extending tubes to keep them from slipping out of the fabric covers. Stitches securing the lining at the waist are starting to loosen on the proper left side at back with a 1.5" opening. The garment was originally a center back lace up but now has an over-sized plastic zipper.
Previous alterations/repairs are noticeable at the center back where the lacing guard has been stitched back, partially obscuring the designer label. The lining has been stitched/repaired multiple times on both sides of the zipper and many of the fabric tube covers have been re-stitched at the terminal ends.
