Overall sturdy and ready to place condition. Each of the chairs appears to have similar age and were likely part of the same set, although there are very subtle differences in painting and turning between each of them. Modern plastic caps added to the feet. Caning is all intact and sturdy, though there are differences in the age of the caning between chairs. One chair with an old Stair & co. label to the underside. Three chairs have newer rails attached to the inside of the original seat rails. The black painted and gilt decoration seams largely intact and original with varying degrees of rubbing, flaking, and cracking. A few small areas where the gilt decoration was possibly refreshed. Subtle differences between the musical trophies on each of the backs. Seat cushions are newer showing some signs of use and wear. One of the chairs appears to have a repair to its hand hold from a break and possibly a replaced conical armrest support. Additional images are available upon request.
