The portrait has been identified as Myra Ann Mills Blair, but the apparent youth of the subject makes this identification as her niece a more likely one/ Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence B. Holdridge, Baltimore, Md.", oil on canvas, framed.

The identity of the sitter in this portrait is not certain. She has been identified as Myra Ann Mills Raymond (Mrs. Andrew B. Haxtun 1817-1886), as Hannah Mills Raymond, and as Hannah Blair, all of Kent, Connecticut. Phillips painted many members of the John Milton (1793-1867) and Florilla Mills Raymond (1794-1870) family. Myra was a sister of Florilla Mills Raymond, Hannah Mills Raymond, was the couple's niece, and Hanna Blair was John Raymond's sister.

wax lined on new stretcher; with cracquelure throughout commensurate with age, with some scattered pin-hole sized losses to particularly crazed areas, including to dress and background; with minimal inpainting, UV light revealing a few very small spots to face, collar, and book, and also a spot to right-facing sleeve, lower edge along dress, and left-facing edge; UV light also reveals some streaky areas of green fluorescence, likely indicating selectively applied varnish; frame is period, with some expected losses to gesso and gilding commensurate with age
