The unlined canvas is in overall good condition. There are several lines of craquelure, for instance a few diagonal at the bottom left corner, and scattered throughout the painting. In a few areas the surface is lifting slightly at the edges of the craquelure. Under UV light there is evidence of varnish and an area of inpainting approx. 10 in. horizontally at center in the figure's shoulder. Additional images available upon request.
